in 1982 and grew to become one of the largest private owners of student rentals at the University of Colorado, Boulder. Growing up in the family business, the four sisters gained extensive experience in property management serving them well in overseeing their operations. Since then, they have expanded nationally to other value add markets through creative financing, collaboration with long term partners and the ability to bring out substantial value from their acquisitions.”
Jessica has been working full time with Zargo Invest since 2005 and oversees the internal office, asset and marketing managers. She is well-versed in federal, state and municipal law and landlord-tenant relations, specifically those related to student tenants. Jessica has overseen $100 million in renovation projects while working with developers, architects, engineers and general contractors and also sources funds for acquisitions. Jessica enjoys hanging out with her husband and three boys, skiing, running in the mountains and traveling. She is dedicated to providing education for kids in Uganda and micro-lending to entrepreneurs in Uganda that wouldn’t otherwise have access to funds.

For over 12 years, Nikki has acquired skills in lender relations, equity management, and lender reporting. She ensures that all acquisitions, value-add projects, and re-investments are funded in a fashion that benefit the lender, owner, property manager, and residents. Nikki also leads the development of proprietary systems for financial analysis. Her strategic approach led to Zargo Invest’s acquisition of a distressed 15 property portfolio that doubled in value in under two years. Although it is hard to pry Nikki away from the numbers, she takes breaks to travel with her family, read history books, and spend time in the Colorado Rockies. She holds a degree in Business Management from Metropolitan State University of Denver.

Shanae started with Zargo Invest in 2012. She drives our acquisitions and fund raising by developing and maintaining strong relationships with investors, bankers, and business professionals. By playing a critical role in establishing our acquisitions criteria and equity strategies, Shanae has fostered sharp negotiation skills. This resourcefulness in both networking and negotiation positioned her to spearhead Zargo Invest’s first out of state deal. She is an active member of various associations in Boulder, CO including BARHA, 3-5 Board, and the Boulder Chamber. She also makes time for climbing fourteeners, traveling, and most importantly, raising funds for orphans in Uganda. Shanae earned her degree in Apparel Merchandising from Colorado State University.

Chelsie supervises budgets, timelines, and the overall design of Zargo Invest’s value-add projects. She also leads the refinances for all re-positioning efforts. She performs everything from proforma analysis to variance reports. Chelsie played a fundamental role in turning a distressed property, through a $6 million construction project, into a profitable, fully occupied student rental in nine months. She also manages external counsel on all legal matters related to the organization. Chelsie holds a degree in Business Administration with concentrations in real estate and management from Colorado State University. When she’s not onsite or in the office, Chelsie is on the lookout for the next peak to climb.
